PRS for Music Foundation promo film

This has been a long time in the making. I first began the process of commissioning and producing this short back in the winter of 2010 – and only this week (my last week at the Foundation) has it finally been finished! I have a lot of respect for everyone involved in making films – the amount of time, energy, enthusiasm and money that has to go into just 1 minute of the final product is enormous. It is a lot of fun though and very rewarding! I’ve really enjoyed the adventure and met some amazing characters on the way.

I’ve had to pull in a lot of favours to make this happen. Special thanks to my brother, Jack, for pulling the sound together, and for Matt at KIN Design for getting the ident done. I’m proud of what’s been achieved. Hopefully it will allow a lot more people to understand what PRS for Music Foundation does – and the importance of their work.

The Foundation asked me to get this film made in order to illustrate the impact and success of their funding, while communicating the full diversity of the music they support – in an informative and entertaining way. I hope you feel it does this.

Sky Arts At New Music Award – Promo Film Producer and Awards Ceremony Event Manager

It is with great excitement that I present to you Sky Arts At New Music Award – the film! (click on the image below to be taken to the Sky Arts HD website to view the film). The full length version will be shown throughout the month on Sky Arts HD 1 & 2 – and is premiering this Sunday at 6:30pm on Sky Arts HD 1.

It has been an absolute joy to produce this film – working with the Sky Arts HD crew and team – and all the other New Music Award artists, judges and supporters – past and present. A massive thank you to all of you. It’s been a lot of hard work, but a lot of fun and everyone at New Music Award HQ is really happy with the result. The film clearly and powerfully demonstrates why the PRS for Music Foundation New Music Award is so important and why it’s so relevant. As well as being a powerful tool of communication for showing exactly what the New Music Award is about, it’s great to have documentation of the New Music Award 2010 ceremony at the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion, designed by Jean Nouvel – a ceremony that I Event Managed. A special thanks go out to Katie and all the team at Serpentine Gallery for making us so welcome and being so accommodating and very patient with all our filming and ceremony requirements – and for providing us with such a beautiful – and perfect space for the PRS for Music Foundation New Music Award 2010 ceremony.

Kerry Leatham ‘A Different Light’ music video

This is the first music video for young singer-songwriter Kerry Leatham, Directed by Sam Wilkins, DOP: Dave Litchfield. I have to say, this was the most relaxed shoot I’ve ever been on. Sam was as calm as a Hindu cow throughout – respect!

Kerry, myself, all the management team and record label are really, really happy with what we achieved. Kerry looks amazing, this is a great introduction to a genuine talent and it dovetails beautifully with the adventurous, independent and ‘real’ elements of Kerry’s brand and her Guerrilla Busker activites. Well done everyone!
